What Does The Bible Say About The Rapture
What is the Holy Rapture?
According to what some believe and have been taught, it is an event that will take place where the Lord will come and secretly morph His saints from the earth to meet Him in the sky without the rest of the world seeing it. Once this secret taking away takes place, it will ignite a 7 year Tribulation Period where the wicked will have the chance to repent and turn their lives over to God before He comes back for the last time. During this "Tribulation Period", the Antichrist will ascend into power and reign over the entire earth provoking God to pour out His wrath upon the wicked.
Is this Biblical?
Quite the contrary, the Bible speaks the exact opposite of this Holy Rapture theory.
So what does the Bible say in regards to a Rapture?
The word rapture is not found in the Bible. There will be a taking away of the saints but not the type of taking away that is preached in regards to the Holy Rapture theory. The saints will not leave this earth UNTIL the very last day of earth itself; the last day of humanity. The righteous will be living during the reign of the Antichrist and during the punishment of the wicked that perish due to the plagues. Once all of these events have taken place, the Lord Jesus will come save those who have been His true servants on the LAST DAY. John 6:39-40
So the wicked and the righteous will live amongst each other until the day the Lord comes? Where can this be found in the Bible?
Yes, the righteous and the wicked will live on earth together until the last day of humanity. This can be found in Matthew 13:24-30 in which Jesus speaks a parable about the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus says that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone slept, his enemy came and sowed tares amongst the wheat and then went his way. When the wheat sprouted and grew heads, the tares appeared also. The owner's servants came and reported to him about the tares growing amongst the wheat and asked if they should uproot the tares. The owner told him no because while pulling put the tares, they might also pull up the wheat. So, he tells them, let the wheat and the tares grow together until the harvest and at that time I will tell the harvesters to first gather the tares, tie them in a bundle to be burned, and then gather the wheat to bring into my barn.
What does this parable mean?
Jesus explains this parable for us at Matthew 13:37-42. "He answered and said unto them, 'He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares and gathered the burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of Man shall send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which so iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be a wailing and gnashing of teeth."
When Christ comes to save the saints, will there be any wicked people left on earth?
No, the wicked will fall dead due to the brightness of His glory when He comes to get His saints. II Thessalonians 2:8
What will happen to the remains of the wicked after they fall dead after the brightness of His coming?
The birds of the air will be called to feast on their bodies for 1,000 years.
Revelation 19:17-18; Matthew 24:28; Jeremiah 16:4
When will the wicked be judged?
The judgement of the wicked will happen in three phases.
Phase 1 - At the second coming of Jesus when those judged wicked will fall dead at the brightness of his coming.
Phase 2 - During the first 1,000 years after Christ has come and have gathered the righteous at the second coming of our Lord, the righteous will sit in judgement of the wicked (Those that fell dead at the brightness of his coming and those that did not rise in the first ressurection) judging the wicked from those things written in the books according to their works. Revelation 20:6
Phase 3 - At the end of the 1,000 years comes the second resurrection and the White Throne Judgement in which all the wicked will stand before the Lord in judgement. At this time, the Lord will convince all that were ungodly of their ungodly deeds. Jude 15; Revelation 20:5-6 and 11-15
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
We as the people of God must be a true reflection of Jesus Christ being transformed into His image. Any other representation is false advertisement. II Timothy 2:19 the foundation of the Lord standeth sure having this seal that if any man name the name of Christ he must depart from iniquity. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature.
II Corinthians 5:17
